I want to tell you about one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had recently.
I went to spend the day with Lucas, my childhood friend, on a farm he owns in the countryside.
I had never been on a horseback ride before, so imagine how excited I was when he invited me to go horseback riding!
I got there and the countryside had that smell of fresh earth, the sound of animals in the background… everything was so different from the city.
The calm of the place was so comforting!
Lucas, with that smile on his face, took me to the stable to introduce me to the horse I was going to ride.
He told me his name was Thunder.
I was a little nervous because, let’s face it, I had never ridden a horse, but Lucas put me at ease.
He explained everything about how to ride and how to handle the animal, and that gave me more confidence.
When we got in the saddle, I felt butterflies in my stomach, but it was so cool!
Thunder, despite being huge, was very calm and seemed to know exactly what to do.
Soon, we began to walk along the farm trails, and I was amazed by the landscape.
The wind blew in my face and, little by little, I began to let go.
The sound of the hooves hitting the ground was a music that made me feel free.
Lucas, who was already more accustomed, was in front, guiding me.
With each curve in the trail, I felt more connected to nature.
It was as if time was slowing down and I was living that moment completely.
He encouraged me to pick up the pace, and that was when I realized that, even though I wasn’t an expert, I was doing really well.
The feeling of freedom, of being in control, but at the same time surrendering to the horse’s movement, was indescribable.
After a while, we stopped near a stream.
I was already exhausted, but also so happy that I didn’t care.
Lucas got off the horse and helped me get off too.
We sat on the grass, enjoying the moment of silence.
The sound of the running water and the birds singing made everything even more magical.
I looked at Lucas and said: “I never imagined I would ride a horse in a place like this.”
He just smiled, as if he knew I would love it.
And of course I did.
I had never felt so connected to nature and so at peace.
Sometimes we need these simple experiences, right?
Just stopping, breathing and appreciating what life has to offer.
It was an unforgettable day.
